Similar Shape Found

Here is another outfit from my idea files. I think my scanner is going wonky because all of my recent scans look way off. Anyway, it is supposed to be a greyish brownish {not sure how to describe the color} tweed suit with fun ruffles at the sleeve and hem of the jacket.

.
Here is a similar shaped jacket {in tweed even} from Coldwater Creek. Unfortunately they don't have matching pants so I will have to figure something different out on bottom. Still need to find a good shirt to go with it.

If you like this jacket then hurry! It is currently in their clearance section for $42.99. But everything is 60% off right now on their website, or you can use this code {not sure how long it lasts, but it worked for me today} to get 70% off: WLH4178

Neutral But Definately Not Boring

{image via Spiegel}

Cute but . . .

I think I'd do different shoes. I'm not a fan of those type of boots.

I Would Answer the Door

I really wouldn't be embarassed to answer the door like this.

I love the sweaters paired with the PJ's. In fact this picture inspired me a few years ago to remember that I could wear my sweaters while lounging around my house still in my PJ's and to seek out ones that look cute with my jammies.

Blazers I Like

Doesn't she remind you of an Edwardian school girl? I really like the way this outfit was styled. Very dramatic.

This photo has been saved in my fashion files for a few years.

I am still seeing velvet blazers in the stores this year and I love them paired with jeans--makes them not soo serious. I just need to find a velvet blazer with the right cut for me still. But I'm definately on the look out!

Skirts to Skate In

Patterns for these skirt shapes should be easy to find at any fabric store. Just be sure to use FABULOUS fabric!

Dressing Up Your Sweats

{images via Roots from 2005 *I think*}

While these are just simple sweats, what elevates them from shlubby to respectable casual wear is the accessorizing. Leather bags, leather shoes, nice scarves and mittens seem to add a little bit of polish to this otherwise ordinary look.

Styling My New Christmas Sweater

My husband was sweet and bought me a few sweaters this Christmas {I really needed some new ones!}, one of which was this sweater but in cream.

So I thought I would head to my favorite inspiration place to see how they would style something similar to this and wouldn't you know it, Gorsuch never fails me!

So it seems all I need is a lovely ruffly blouse, skinny pants, nice belt and riding boots! That should be easy! But now how to translate it into the cream family since my particular sweater is cream instead of grey.

Or here is an idea in the cream family!

Now that's a wrap! And only $19.95 {currently on sale}. Love it with the satin shirt {$16.95 currently on sale}. I think this look is going with me on a business trip in January--the wrap will be great on the plane!
